I wish I could translate that line. Unfortunately, my Russian is about as good as Stalin's Sanskrit

Saw some old Russian covers a while back. Seems they had numbers written into those boxes. Maybe for some kind of routing code like our zip code?

Very nice covers. I just hope we don't have to learn Russian or Sanskrit. I'm still having trouble with English and I'm trying to pick up a little Spanish.

What I am going to do is to show some Russian space covers and first day covers autographed by the cosmonauts involved with each mission. I got interested in collecting Russian space covers as a result of the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (ASTP) in 1975. I'll be back later with scans.
