I agree wholeheartedly with your concern.
I imagine someone might be able to make the argument that your stamps are at greater risk from any harmful vapor being generated by the the paper's decay because of the diminished airflow resulting from the pages being placed in plastic sleeves.
But I'm a general biologist by education and an infantryman by profession so I'll defer to the chemists and the archivists in the group on this one!
