Hello Spock I'm not following the games but I hear of canadians (québécois) winning medals listening to the radio while him on SCF. I used to collect Olympic stamps. I had a huge collection. I restrict myself to the Olympics, but I occasionally saw Commonwealth games stamps that I like too. I stop collecting olympic because there was too many every 4 years and also because I become more attracted by my Europa collection. I sold my Olympic collection with no regrets. I know it must be a big thing for India to have the games and i'm sure you're proud of it. Maybe are you going those stamps? There should be a Canada stamp for those games. Have to verify. Daniel |

Well I have always liked to collect sports stuff not just stamps but I restrict myself to the US and India and occasionally other countries. We are about to lose our number 2 position int he games to england and I am not happy about that but its still an achievement considering we were no good a couple of decades ago. |

I have followed the games with great enjoyment, I have no interest whatsoever in the medal count, but love the individual side of competition, the lass from Cayman islands winning their first ever gold, the Indian girls 4 x 400m relay, the archery, and the lass from Cyprus that just missed gold in the polevault, were the standouts, along with the Indian mens hockey.
I think the Indians should be justly proud of presenting us with a marvelous colourful games, all reports back here are of the friendliness of the Indian people, and Aussies appear to be having a great time. I'll probably meet up with the stamps in 4-5 years time in kilo lots.

you wish Rod. no kilo lots the athletes have caused a sell out of the stamps they wanted souvenirs from 2 post offices opened specially for the games. dont forget that the stamps are the first ones with the rupee symbol.
i was happy with the hockey match though I dont think there is even a 1 percent chance against the oz. but then just look what happened in cricket last week and anything can happen there again tomorrow where we are again about to lose minus vvs laxman |
