Just recently cracked a couple of piles of Australian stamps (first time for me.).

I have a mint One Penny and it's definitely Scott Type A4.

I've copied an image of the watermark below - this is visible by eye and I've tryed to enhance it with the scanner software.

I believe this to be Scott Watermark #9. It really can only be #8, #9 or #10 according to my general Scott catalog.

Any help/comments would be appreciated!

I have no idea what Scott # this is, is but it's Gibbons T6 - first used for the 2d grey Kangaroo etc in 1915, then for the George V types in 1918, and again in 1924. Perhaps a high resolution scan of the relevant stamp would help.

I could be wrong, but to me it looks like watermark #9. Wide crown and narrow A.
