Most of these are private/proprietary local and state tax stamps..

AAH Young Grasshopper I see you still have much to learn!

Class is in session!

95% of these are Federal Tax Stamps for Tobacco(called "Cigar Strips"), Federal Cigarette Tax, Oleomargarine(margarine), Malt Liquor, Beer, and Wine. I see NO private/proprietary stamps at all. Don't try to find the Tax stamps in Scott's you won't. You would need a Springer Catalog. Their are Many, Many areas that Scott's is lacking in and this is one of them! This is a very impressive lot and @ $102.00 a VERY good deal! I see quite a few $20-$50 stamps. Most are in the $1-$5 range.

Don't worry D. I'll turn you into a Rev Specialist yet!

rev.. thanks. I didn't see them in specialized, only a couple could I find.. saw the Texas ones and seemed like they were state tax stamps.
I am still working on the regular revenue stamps..

I stand corrected.
