I've been watching Stamp albums very consistently on
ebay for 5 months now. I've added to my watch list just about every Scott album that shows up.
Recently in the past 2 weeks I've noticed that selling prices have been sky rocking, I don't see a significant increase in quality, but I'm seeing prices go way up. I've also seen NY Stamps seems to be dominating the market and selling much higher then others. I'm not saying there is anything fishy going on as I've bought from them and been happy with the product. I'm just unclear about this sudden spike in album prices?
one example 3 months ago I let a hing-less album get away for $68, yesterday I bid $228 and lost to someone.... both albums had NO STAMPS
also around 3-4 months ago I was acquiring my Scotts Albums usually with 1500-2000 stamps in them, each around $25-40 each plus shipping, recently same style same # of common stamp are going for $100+
