Citizen's Hose Co. I love that! Does the Citizens' part mean they are a volunteer fire dept?

Cool card Phil. I am wondering if firemen had bands (given the big bass drum in the picture).

I used to be a Volunteer firefighter on the island where I used to live. I even got called to a fire once! It was a chimney fire. It had gone out by the time we got there, the house owner gave us tea and cake.

Great postcard! (Almost looks like a cabinet card of that day.)

Is this a mint postcard or has it been mailed? If mailed, it would be great to see the reverse side for the stamp and cancel.
