Are you entering, Donna? I am quite tempted to enter. I could use the money to buy me a set of SG catalogs (really been wanting an SG US Catalog). Thanks for the post! |

I don't use those catalogs but I thought that for the ones that do this contest would come in handy. You ought to enter. It's worth a try.

I was in the process of entering by e mail, and got to thinking, why in the world do they need my date of birth? They use the excuse that they like to send presents to justify asking for date of birth. Yeah, right.
I have heard that with your name, address and date of birth, it may be possible to access personal info.
Decided not to enter based on the request for date of birth. |

rohumpy, Now that's a good point, but I would see that as no different than a restaurant asking for your BD to send you a BD coupon special. There are restaurants that have a discount club for ex., eat so many meals and gain points or some sort of reward and at times as a little extra they send you a Happy Birthday special or add extra points to your card. Just something to reconsider on the contest.

I think SG wants the age to keep track of the demographics of stamp collectors. |
