I know it isn't unusual for stamps to make it through the U.S. postal system without receiving cancellations but I would have thought that, of all places, the Contract Postal Unit at the American Philatelic Center would get it right.

I received the November 2010 issue of American Philatelist in today's mail and had to laugh when I saw the envelope.

I guess I should be thankful that the marker monkey didn't have his way with it.

That is amazing that the APS could not even get it right!

I received my November issue today, as well. Mine doesn't come in an envelope but with a second cover marked "Periodical Postage Paid." If any other members are reading this, how does your copy arrive?

Mine is mailed in a plastic bag from Windsor, Ontario, with no stamps to forget to postmark.

Modern_who,

I'm sure this was a special mailing as I recently had my membership reinstated. I imagine my next issue will arrive like yours does. But as Donna said, this one is a keeper!
