Just picked up another #1 + #99 a pair of #349 all used and a mint #396 OG but hinged ,the #1 has a light pen X cancel and all margins, the #99 is a little worse for ware but nice and the pair of #349 is a vertical pair not well centered but with a nice cancellation.

Sounds like some good stamps. The perf 12 coils were known for poor centering. The perf 8.5's are some of my all time favorites, they are a very distinct coil to say the least. A no. 1 is always great to get but a 99 is truly a great find.

Russ the #1 was a nice find that will replace the #1 in the album but the #99 was even better and like my old grandfather use to say "good thing come to those who wait"and to make a nice story even better I just picked up a #355 mint fine OG NH

A 355 too! These early coils are some of my favorite stamps. The perf 12 and 8.5 were really almost experimental. Sounds like a fantastic group of stamps.

The Washington-Franklin early coils are indeed fascinating. There a few that you would not dare pay the high price for without certification. Scott gives several warnings about the fakes out there.

The early perf 12's are really nice stamps.

Thanks Edwin and yes I'm very pleased with this lot as nealy all of these are hard to find, the #99 for $99 was one of my best buy's this year.
Oh I forgot to say I also picked up another #20 as well, didn't need it as I already have one and it wasn't that I just liked the look of it it was a type"O" from the seller and I got stuck with it,my own fault for not remembering what a #30 looked like .
regards
