Just remembered I was a member here.
I remember collecting when I was 10-11 years old.\
Signed up here when I bought a sheet of the Lincoln Stamps just recently.
Just not sure where to get started can't remember much on collecting lol
Plus I'm sure times have changed.

Welcome back, Insideout.
I guess in a way things always change, but the basics are still the same and the enjoyment never diminishes.
Like you and many of the members here, I collected as a child and then came back to the hobby years later as an adult. There were at two immediate and pleasant surprises:
First, the Internet has made it much easier to find other stamp collectors and stamps for buying, selling, and trading (especially for folks in rural areas).
Secondly, as an adult, I had more disposable income. I don't mean tons of money to burn, but as a kid, I could barely find stamps, much less have money to purchase them.
Anyway, there are lots of knowledgeable and friendly folks here to answer any questions and to revel in your success.
Regards, Kirk

Glad to see you back. The Lincoln stamps were a great way to get back into collecting, at least in this collectors eyes. In fact, today is the official release of the US Mint's Abraham Lincoln Presidential Dollar and my hometown of Springfield IL is honoring the occasion with a pictorial postmark. See I brought it back to stamp collecting. |
