Why is there a pen and cork cancel on the same stamp? Blue spots from the scanner? He should clean it. Not a good deal.

good point, though he did agree to conditional sale based on a favorable certification and that no other faults were on the stamp.

With the filled thin at the top, I think you'd be unhappy when you had it in your hands. I'd keep looking, myself, unless I needed one right now (for some reason).

yeah you are probably right. I knew about the thin...
the last 6 stamps I have bought have all been returned because of fake cancels or faults not mentioned in the sale.

It's cheap for a reason, and those spots are probably oxidation. I don't like it, it has problems.

Like I said, $10-20 on a spacefille? You lose $10-20. $150 on a spacefiller? That's a lot of money to lose.

yes it is advertised as oxidation and the filled thin.
I am passing it by anyway. The more I think about it the more I don't like it.
and you know what, I have a 78, so I don't need a 70 or 99, it's basically the same stamp.

It's not the same stamp :)

But I am working on a display of 24c Shades.... I THINK I might have gotten my mitts on a decent copy of the holy grail to complete said set... :-D

Said display would include about 30-35 stamps.

Oh, and that's what I call a tragedy... shame because it's somewhat well centered for an F grill.

The filled thin ?
could you tell by the scans, or
was that from the accompanying advice?
I can't see it myself.

Phil,

The centering hurts it more than the cancel. If it's sound it's probably worth 20-30% of cat.

SV, if you really want a 99 I may have an extra one that I don't need. Basically with centering like the one you posted but no faults.
