Here is a post card for the people of Dickinson, North Dakota showing two "dudes" reading The Dickinson Press. Here's the rub (that line is from Shakespeare I think). The card was posted from Swift Current, Saskatchewan, with a 2c King George V stamp (Canada Scott#106) with a good CDS dated Feb 17, 1913 and addressed to Bowbells, North Dakota.

I checked the internet and the news from Dickinson, N.D. today is "DSU rolls Western".

I think it's even older than that -- often found in conjunction with teh famous quote "facilis descensus Averno," from Virgil's Aeneid.

"Easy is the descent into Avernus (hell); day and night, the gates are open... but to regain the heights, therein lies the rub"

Then again, it's been a long time since my high school Latin class.

Kirk
