All those diehards who post all day long; those who have come and gone and then come again; those who have just joined us and are joining in the fun; those who have just joined but are not joining in the fun [get your a**e in gear]; those who are lurking but not joining in [come on in, it's nice here]; to the Moderators whoever they may [As in those we don't know about], for you do a great job; to all those members who are suffering from illness or other problems, may everything soon be well [we are thinking of you]; to all those whose collections suffer from lack of funds; to all those who don't get enough time for their hobby.....to name but a few.

Happy holidays to you and your family and thank you for starting this thread. I enjoy looking at the Christmas stamps. It get me more in the mood than the Christmas music that is the same every year and gets on my nerves.

Austrian 1983 Christmas Stamp on FDC with nice pictorial cancellation.

Anyone ever seen this? It gives the word "maximum card" a whole new meaning, as it measures nearly 11" x 14" with the FDOI cancel in the lower right.

I cannot see it on my scans, but it
may be just under the chin where it meets the neck.

Here's a Cuban Christmas Stamp from 1957.

I find it interesting that the Scott Catalog shows the date of issue being December 20, 1957. It seems to me that's a relatively short period between the date of issue and the actual holiday that it would have seen limited postal use.
