Hello. I collect worldwide stamps from the "classic" period of 1840-1940 only. I currently house my collection in three Scott international albums, soon to spill over into a fourth album.
I am a member of the San Luis Obispo Philatelic Society, acronym SLOPS.

Pleased to see you here, sloswimmer.

I also like classic stamps, but I've decided to concentrate on Norway and Sweden.

I have a collection of pre-1940 Belgium with lot of goodies I'd like to get rid of ... perhaps we can set up a swap sometime down the track!

Welcome...your interests are right up my alley.

If you have access to a scanner, post up some pics...everyone likes to look at stamps...especially the classics.

sloswimmer: One of my favourite scenes from black and white tv in the 50's was Jack Webb (Sargent Friday) pulling over a drunk driver who was looking for a place called Pismo Beach. Years ago I planned a 10-day wine-tasting tour of the Napa Valley. I flew to San Francisco, rented a car and headed north into the Napa but got bored with wine-tasting after a few days. Since I was in California why not turn south and head for Pismo Beach. On the trek south I passed through San Luis Obispo and motored on into Pismo and stayed for a couple of delightful days. It was all done on a lark and because of a tv program and I have never regretted it.
