Just curious if anyone is familiar with this item?

It was found amongst a box of used stamps and it appears to be designed as a stamp wallet, probably for a ladies purse. There are four plastic folders where one can store single stamps in each pocket and it folds up into a nice compact item. It's embossed "Artamount Cowhide" on the inside.

Anyone able to date it? I assume it's from the 1930's or 1940's, but not sure.

I find it an interesting little piece as I've never seen one before.
