I'm not trying to create work for our busy Admins, so this is a question more than a suggestion..

Is there a place to see the date of a member's last post?

By clicking on their name, I can see the "Member Since" date, but no other statistics.

There are a few people that seem to be missing here and it would be nice to click on their profile and see "Last Post: 11/10/2010" or something similar to let us know they're still around.

Great idea Kirk. Perhaps it may be technically easier to report the last time they logged in than the time/date of the last post, to see if someone has been active.

In most forums there is a stat that will use the last time of a post by a member. In most cases the log in time doesn't really tell you anything because a lot of members do not log out before leaving if there were here just to lurk. Just a thought.

If you want to see a specific member's last post:

1. You must be logged on. Click on the member's username link and view their profile.

2. Look at the left side of their profile and you will see a subsection entitle "Recent Topics" (you may have to scroll down if they have a picture).

3. The links in the "Recent Topics" appear in order of their last post. So the first link will contain their most recent post.

I am open to correction if my observation is wrong.

I don't think it's ordered quite like that - those topics seem to be ordered according to the latest update by anybody. For example, if there is a long-standing thread to which I posted something a month ago, that thread will show up at the top of my list if somebody has added something to it 2 minutes ago.

You can get a generalized list of everybody's date of last posting. It doesn't link directly to their last post, however. On the "All Forums" or "Forum Home" page, near the bottom of the screen there is a "Statistics" section. On that page, you can click on the word "Members" from the following stat:

747 of 1352 Members have made 109045 posts in 34 forums.

Or, you can just click on this link.

https://www.stampcommunity.org/members.asp

You can click on any of the headings (Member Name, Title, Posts, etc) to order the list accordingly.

Yes. There it is.

And worse yet, I have been there before -- I just forgot about it.

Also, you can click the column headings to sort by that column

Thanks everyone,
Kirk
