Anyone know what this is?
I suspect it is from a smiler sheet.

Anthony, the answer may be a little more sinister,
I have several, but cannot locate them on my hard drive.
The cancel looks terribly like it has been printed.
May be a bogus from Readers Digest correspondence?

Any more background paper to give us a clue?

The printing is terrible but nothing on the remaining paper unfortunately.
It looks to be self adhesive and of the correct size for a GB stamp.

Success from endeavor:

Identified by our own SCF member Ryan in 2009 as
a possible "faux" stamp.

Cheers Rod.
The reason for use is a bit sinister or at the least underhand I agree.
