I thought this little rubber stamp on the cover was interesting. from my google search, part 262 of the Postal Codes deals with records management??

I acquired several covers with this stamp, included in a lot of material for my other collection (Irish Hospital Sweepstakes tickets), which were illegal to ship into the US. What I don't understand is that apparently, the recipient DID in fact receive these envelopes, and from what I can put together from the materials, he did receive the ticket receipts that were included. I guess that the receipts are not illegal, but couldn't that be evidence to prove participation in illegal activity?

That's an unusual strike,
and would assume to be interesting
to the "auxilliary markings" collectors club.

Following a vacation to Ireland this past October, I have begun to collect Ireland - both the republic and its immediate post-British predecessors.

I'd love to have an outbound Irish Sweepstakes cover.

Also eager to hear about others who collect Ireland and who might be interested in trading Canada for their Irish spares - mint, used or postal history.

Peter,

Send me your address, and I will ship one your way. I have 3 of them, all addressed to the same fellow, don't really need all of them. The envelopes are empty, but the covers are in good shape.
