When the Scott cat. has a notation about a stamp and for ex. it says the set or stamp exists imperf., does the image of the stamp match the what the notation is about?

It SHOULD - but there may be a misprint. Which stamp is it for?

David,
It was for Austria, SC 388-89. Now I know that if I had a gauge, like I really should have and don't, I could compare what I have to the notation in the cat. That was why I was wondering about the image for that stamp.

Which date is that? That way I can compare it with what SG says - I have the specialised SG for Austria.

David,
1937. It was the first Christmas stamp ever published by Austria and in the world.
