Pick Of The Greatest Stamp Collections (1954)

As many here will undoubtedly know, digitized copies of Life Magazine are available on the internet for your reading enjoyment. This link below brings to the issue of May 3, 1954 and has a focus on great stamp collections of all-time (at least to that date).

Although some of the information and values are out-of-date, it still makes for an interesting read and thought SCF members might enjoy it. The article extends from pages 83 to 102 (and mixed in are a number of classic, full-color period advertisements that are bound to bring back some memories):

Here is an advert for Booths Gin from the September 19, 1964 London Illustrated News. Interesting that they used rare stamps in the add.
