I have these three Lynn, MA precancels that I am having a difficult time establishing the correct precancel types:

At first glance, the first two look quite similar, but they have different spacing between the city and state names (and the city name is followed by a comma on the second example.)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

chasa, thanks for the many contributions you have made in the precancel area. You and Ryan have consistently came through with really good information on the precancel discussions.

Let me express my thanks, too!

01/02/11 Update: Just found this set of 9 Lynn, MA precancels from the 1898 regular issue (Scott #279). I thought it would relate to one of the precancel types noted above, but in this case none of these precancels have serifs on the lettering, so it must be a different precancel type. Any ideas?

That's a local style, given type number L-1 in the Town & Type catalogue.
