Is this a precancel? It has no bars and has an abnormally wide distance between city and state name. If it is a precancel, I can't seem to ID it.



Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks again for all the help. The L's are always a problem for me, since I don't have a guide to go by to identify them. At least with SCF assistance, I am now able to mount these stamps in the right spot on a TnT album page.

Care to help me with another one? I know this one is in rather poor shape, but I also know it must be an "L" (but not sure if it is a 1,2,3 or 4).

There are 4 simular precancels for Essex Junction, but this is a L-2 HS with narrow letters that are serifed. Value .25.
