A person can tell that I am new to this chat site business. I have a question for the community. Every two or three years, I manage to get my act together and list "extras" on the ebay Auction site. Sometimes they go well, sometimes they don't but at least they are in someone else's closet. My question is this. Is it appropriate to post advisements about the odd thing on this site that you think might interest a member or that is a neat item that might be had for a song?

For example, In the batch I listed (end in 6 hours or so) there is a 1954 Duck Stamp, RW20, that is hanging at $3.25 right now and a copy of Great Britain #105 with the perfin HP&Co that is going at $1.43 at the moment. Both are items that might interest specialists and from the look of it, might be had at a bargain. Other stuff is kind of pedestrian.

Now, if I am breaking rules or violating rules of on line etiquette, please slap my fingers, point me toward a corner where I must sit in silence for days (that will be difficult)and it should never happen again.

Thanks for your input.

Hi backroads,

Given that you have 50 posts, you are welcome to conduct auctions or offer items for sale at a fixed price directly on the forum here (without the need for ebay fees).

And to add . . .

Of course you are also welcome to post links to your auctions on other websites (eBay, BidStart, Wensy, Delcampe, etc).

It looks like the prices realized were not that bad after all.
I tried my best to get some of the lots ,but had to leave for the rest of the day.
I did however end up with some GB #3s, paid via Paypal just a few moments ago.
If you have others of this type ,let me know.
David
