With all due respect,
we are not magicians :)
To identify a perfin, one needs
A close up of the stamp,
Front and rear of the cover/card if avail.
One needs all the information possible.

Yours is I would say, a commercial perfin
in 1922 on some sort of cheap business card
(eg: please be advised your lay-by is ready etc)
Going to Aldgate (Old gate) in the adelaide hills,
If I were to have a ridiculous stab at it,
I would say maybe HS (Harris Scarfe & co)
A large retailer at the time.
Otherwise near impossible with your scan.

On further research,
Mr. Bagot of Aldgate
was a famous Australian Architect,
that perfin hence may have come from
any number of firms / businesses etc.

Hi Rod222

Thanks for the information.
THe stamp is on a very fine envelope. It is amazing what I am finding in the accumulation. I am not surprised what turns up. I found two more stock books in another carton, so they will also be added to the accumulation. I do not know how long it will take to sort. I am still confused about all the KGV stamps, the colours, the perforations etc. I need to be very careful and get some expert advice.
Regards,
Horamakhet

Wonderful envelope.

This is a web site for perfins on King George V Silver Jubilee (1935) stamps from around the world. Not the same era as your stamp and perfin but I thought perhaps some larger companies would still be in existance at this time.

I like the star-shaped pentagram ornaments in the cancels.
