There must be a story behind the "Temporarily Out of Stock" stamp. Perhaps from Sears or Montgomery Ward?
Was it a deliberate attempt to create an "oddity" or was it done by accident? |

EDWARDS and MC FALL Missouri are listed in the catalog as well as MARISSA, Ill and EMERSON, NJ, but all with different devices. The Mc Fall could very well be an unlisted 621. Cattle Crossing is my favorite also. Would love to know the origins of all of these. Thanks for sharing Chasa!

Here are a few more. If you visit one of the bigger precancel roundups, the old-timers can sometimes tell you who made some of these weeds. The next big one is in Tampa FL in February.  |
