Just goes to show that there are great finds still out there. Unfortunately PF has yet to post the cert details and Harmer will not release their cat until about min-March. Sure would like to see a good scan of it looks very pronounced especially on the left hand side. Thanks for posting.

Thanks, it shows even more pronounced in this image. I am surprised that it is just now making its appearance. Maybe the previous owner just thought he/she needed new glasses. That was definitely a nice find.

I forgot to mention the most important point --- C10 was printed in sheets of 200, then cut to panes of 50.

So there could be 199 more examples just waiting to be found!

Hi Jennie:

Check your copies to see if they look blurry; if you've been drinking wait until tomorrow...

Also bear in mind that double impressions do not always affect the whole sheet.

Everytime I take my glasses off my C10 looks like that, all my stamps look like that. I could be rich. (I saw that in Linns when it came out and checked all mine. NOTHING of course!) - jeff

Yeah, I just read that recently and I absolutely checked but woefully no, none here either! darn it...lol I just have to wonder how many blurry specimens will actually turn up considering that people then, like now, just usually toss them in the trash however, there were a large number of stamp collectors then, as there are now so, just maybe some are still around especially if someone had the foresight to put this strange looking airmail stamp up for safekeeping. Please excuse my grammar this fine morning as I'm lacking my coffee buzz!

My blood pressure started to rise, then it fell back down.
Its a little hard to see bu there is a lot of extra blue ink on the paper of this C10. its more noticeable in the upper top corner and a good part of the entire left side of the stamp. The postmark is in black ink so it couldn't have come from it. Just another overinked plate I guess.

It was fun looking at these again, regardless.
