This is a very thin yellow brown (remember I am colorblind) maybe German or German state stamp. The top read BUDE, I think, one side has the word Deutch and other side has the date 6 April 1850. The bottom may read STEINEARLE. I have no idea what this is. I am not even sure it is BOB. Can anyone help me with maybe a cat number or near value or at least a "what it is". Thanks in advance - Jeff

The German state of Baden. Here is an interesting thread on Baden, which is worth your perusal:

If someone has an older edition of the Michel Germany catalogue, the post office that used the number in your cancel can be identified. Mine is too new...it would have to be a catalogue from the 1990's or earlier. There might be an online source, too, by now; the last time I looked in earnest, maybe a year or two ago, I couldn't find anything more than a partial list.

Hi Jeff, The postmark appears to be "164". The stamp says "BADEN" at the top and "Freimarke" at the bottom.

Wandernde Eisenbahn-Bureaux Funfringstempel auf gez. 250

Einringstempel 50
Zackenkranz 250

Which, using Google, when you separate the stempel words from the prefixes is
Wandering railway bureaux signed five-membered ring stamp on 250
300
Penetration stamp 50
Serrated rim 250
