Hi. I am Chris Wren from the UK. I am interested, as a collector, in all stamp issues of George VI (Britan and Commonwealth), mint, used, fdc or covers generally, together with cinderellas and similar for the same period. I especially like 'oddball' things.
I am also deeply invloved with medieval and other coinages (have written books on these) and antiquities.
I look forward to learning from this forum and to contributuing from time to time. Chris

Nice stamp Menza ! I recently wrote about this stamp in the British Philatelic Bulletin.
One of my favourite 'Peace' stamps. |

hello crwhb, welcome!
You need to have 50 posts before you can contact anyone or anyone can contact you through the forum email links.
But that comes pretty quick when you are posting and giving opinions and asking questions. |

Welcome Chris. You have an interesting area of stamp collecting. I have many Great Britain KGVI and particularly like the 1 pound blue(Scott #268). Regards Mike |

Welcome. Always room for another Commonwealth collector here! There was a KGVI series running a year or two ago spearheaded by a former member. There were/are still a number of colonies/dominions/whathaveyou to go...[food for thought]. By the way...loved your cathedral. Sorry...you must get that a lot... |

Here is the link to a topic summarizing much or all of the KGVI thread to which I was referring. https://goscf.com/t/6648I've occasionally thought that this is a project that deserves to be continued... |
