Nice cover, First day cities for this stamp were Ogden, Utah, San Francisco, CA and Omaha, NE. Would be nice to have matched covers from all 3.

Just an incidental footnote to the cover you show: The addressee on the card (Foote-Cone & Belding) has had a remarkable advertising career as summarized in this company history (a nice side-topic to the cover):

Is there a 5-year discrepancy between the cachet and the cancel on the IIE cover? Or is the "3" an "8" on the cachet?

Yes, the dates all agree. I had a look at the original.

See! The first conversational thread launched and it was just about sloppy scanning of an envelope cachet.
