raywrio, what numbering system are you making reference to for these stamps. It is not a set of Scott numbers. |

For the £sd issues, you could compare the selling prices from Richard Juzwin, one of our largest dealers, here: www.richardjuzwin.com.au The Australian dollar is worth just about $US1. Most decimal currency issues are only worth face value, as postage. |

Hi raywrio
They do not seem to be Gibbons numbers either, for example Gibbons 66 is the Henry Lawson and you can pick that up MNH for about 0.30cents. They are worth what you want to pay. Remember the stamp company is probably making at least 100% profit. Regards, Horamakhet

Horamkhet, which Gibbons are you using? In my Gibbons, the Lawson 2½d is SG 231 ... |

I used that link because I do not have any other reference material for Australian stamps. |

I can send you a catalogue free of charge ray, but it's counter productive really. Any cat other than Gibbons is a waste of effort for mine. You really need the international std for ref.
We have seven seas catalogues australasian catalogues and all sorts, becuase of copyright restrictions everybody wants their own snip at the job.
Nevertheless, if you want a copy, just holler, I can mail a copy of the "australasian" which is fairly comprhensive, but weighs a bit, and I'll neeed to get the freight cost on monday.

raywrio, the Richard Juzwin price list I gave the link to above includes the Gibbons numbers of the items, at least for the pre-decimal (pre-1966) era. The Gibbons numbers are the most widely used references for Australian stamps - they make it much easier to follow. |

A $1 each, is a lot of money for these stamps.
At 50c each it would still be a good price for the seller.
At 25c each it would be a good price for the buyer.
My 2c worth. KGV. |

I'm with KGV, they're all very common stamps. The pre-decimals about 10¢ each, the decimals at face. I wouldn't pay more than about $8 for that lot.
