My suggestion... First start sorting them into countries. When it comes time for selling/trading, it might be easier to find stamps if they are sorted by country. Also by doing this you might find a country or countries that you really like and want to start collecting those countries. Another thing you could so when sorting is to sort some of the stamps into topical groups such as birds, butterflies, lighthouses, trains, avaiation, flowers, etc. many people collect by topic so it may be easier to arrange trades/sales if you have some stamps grouped by topic.
giriraj lajpatrai welcome to the forum. oldtriguy1960 gave you some great advice. The time you take now to sort out the collection and determine what you have will make a difference when it comes time to deciding how to sell or salvage it. Again Welcome to the group.
Depending on which countries you are working on it makes a difference for certain eras r ages or reigns of monarchs. Some people separate their collecting into these areas or just collect certain time frames (older, newer, etc).
I forgot an important thing to tell you... When you are sorting out your stamps. Make a pile for all the old Airmail stamps from all countries that you find. Then later you can do some trading with me!! :)
