Hi,my name is Dor. Londonbus told me about this site....I thought I would check it out. I was active with stamps in my youth, and got into in again around 2003, but have been pretty inactive since 2007 because of a job.

I am hoping to get back into it soon. I collect one country (Israel) and one topical (polar bears)....what else when from Alaska, right?

It's late here, so I will sign off for now.

Welcome Dor !
Glad you made it....you will like it I'm sure.

Try to post pics of some Polar Bears stamps....not sure if anyone else collects them that I can recall. Just start a new thread in the topical section

You will find a lot of fellow female collectors here too

Londonbus1....not a female at all !

Welcome Dor.

You've been recruited by one of the best here on SCF! And you will find others just like him -- knowledgeable and friendly.

We look forward to learning more about your collection and if you have any questions, just ask.

Hi Dor,
Welcome to SCF!
Alaska has always intrigued me and captured my imagination. I spent a few months travelling there and I loved it.
I hope you enjoy it here - I'm sure you will.

Thanks for all the nice welcomes. I guess I will need to do something to see when/if people reply, because right now it's not set up that way.

I'm not actively collecting at the moment, because I am just coming off a 40-60 hour work-week that I have had for the last few years. Trying to gauge how much time I will have for stamps, but the first order of business is to get my husband's business papers organized so I can do our taxes. I will try to post some polar bear stamps later.

Crazy Bob, good to see you.

Thanks again all for helping me to feel welcomed.

rofl!! so you found the picture, eh, Bobgggg? For everyone else, on another site, I was known for keeping people in line if they happened to tell off-color jokes or used "bad language"....because it was supposed to be family friendly, and sometimes the guys got carried away, so I would have to "get out my ruler". I'm not sure who found that pic to begin with. It was me...maybe it was Bobgggg, but I saved it.
