Just finished finishing all the holes in my album.
I now have every stamp issued by the USA between 1935 to 1970
Had a lot of empty spaces for the 50's and 60's. Never actively sought them. I had bought an album at my local stamp club recently. The deceased collector had collected all those years.

It's nice to fill some holes.. and still a lot more to go.

It has to be a bitter-sweet day to fill the final hole.

The trick is to leave it (the collection) where it is and be satisfied with what you've done.

Of course, that never happens.

And, that's the beauty of it.

Nice accomplishment.

Just wondering: Does your collection include the elusive 1057d (Look Magazine Printing) variety of the common 3-cent Liberty stamp? That one has always been an intriguing issue to me in that it was only used for/by Look Magazine during that period.

wt1.. I think so,but I have to double check. I had most of the 30,40,and 50's done, but this filled the decade of the 60's. (99%) postally used. Since most US collections between 1940-current are not worth much more then the face value of mint stamps. For these issues I went with postally used. I did mount some nice line pairs and a few odd ones.
I will look for the LOOK stamp and let you know.

Stampvirgin, on the Look coil, you will need a shortwave UV lamp to identify. The Look coil was the only tagged coil of the 3 cent, other than the reprint which because of a difference in the tagging method is itself identifiable. (Also, there is a slight color difference, but this is noticeable pretty much only when the two are side by side.)
