Every time I look at this stamp, it just ruins my day. A nice looking Johnson & Johnson proprietary stamp. The only J & J stamp I have and it is perfectly sound EXCEPT that one small spot on the lower right that has torn. It is like one a stamp I have that was ruined by a tweezers pull, pulled part of the stamp right out. Grrrr!
Anyone else with favorites ruined by the fickle finger of fate? (that would make a great part of a game show!)

There is also a scuff to the left of the cross.

Now you have another reason to feel sick !

Sadly, I have a few of those.
I'll post an example tomorrow with the sad story behind it.

But it's late and I'm whacked.

Great posting today Mr.Lovell , you deserve an honour.

If that makes you sick read this :

"This is the infamous example that ended up inside a vacuum cleaner!! As the story goes a collector had a private stamp room which his maid had strict instructions never to enter. One day however not only did she enter his stamp room but vacuumed the room. Can you image his dismay when his beloved inverted jenny was missing? The stamp had ended up inside the vacuum cleaner. What happened to the maid I don't know! It still retained its original gum but was torn. The tears have been sealed"

Wasn't there a great thread on SCF of members "bloopers" ?
I recall it was extremely funny,
we have all done similar acts, I have sliced stamps in half,
ripped corners, pulled perfs, the whole gamut.

My latest, and recently was removing some "blind perfs"
(you know, those little dots of perforations that linger on the stamp)
I thought it made the stamp look nicer and well rounded
I scraped a few dots away with my long nosed tweezers, then I scanned my result
Don't do it.

Why would you have an Inverted Jenny out and about?

If anyone is interested in some of the various reports about the Inverted Jenny, this web site does a nice job in story telling:

'Why would you have an Inverted Jenny out and about?'

So every time you came back into the room you could check straightaway that it was still there!

Gee, I don't have any bloopers to show.
Not that I'm perfect, but with low value stamps, they simply end up in the circular file.
