Hello everyone. First off I would like to thank all of the past and current members for contributing to the wealth of information available within this forum.
My name is Doug and I currently live in New Jersey. I am a 34 year old computer tech. I was introduced to stamp collecting through an inheritance. My mother gave me a stamp album that she had
inherited from another family member. It is quite old and in pretty bad shape, but to me that adds to the allure and authenticity of the book. The collection in the book is small, but it was started in 1906 in Germany. Then I also
inherited a rather large collection of stamps from a family friend. I never really had time to look through that collection until now. I have spent the last few months giving myself a crash course in stamp collecting, and now find myself completely fascinated by the art and history involved in stamps.
