That's a tall order isn't it?

I think it all comes down in the end to how you think about what you are doing.

When engaging in any activities that you enjoy, like stamp collecting (or anything else by the way), you probably say (or think to yourself) things like:

Stamp collecting is fun.
This stamp collecting stuff is easy.
I do stamp collecting all the time.
I love collecting stamps.

Or, cutting it down to basics

This is fun.
This is easy.
I do this all the time.
I love doing this.

And for things that you don't particularly like doing you probably say stuff like:

I'm not having fun.
This is difficult or too hard.
I hardly or don't do this at all.
I hate or really don't like doing this.

See the difference in how you feel just after reading the words?

Imagine saying those words, out loud, or to yourself, or writing them down or even reading them on a sign or poster or computer screen every day.

Whatever you wanted to do would now be done easily and you would enjoy doing it. (Well, more than you had been anyway.)

Just having the basic words there to see without putting in any real things to do works wonders. Or probably having the idea there in pictures would work also.

Does that all seem too hard? Not easy to do? Not fun? You don't do that? You won't do it because it's stupid? Hmmmm, I wonder why?

What a timely thread puzzler

I was at a seminar last week where one of the topics was on work ethics and how attitude plays such a big part in how we communicate and work with others. The could be said with how we accomplish everything we do.

If you wake up thinking your gonna have a crappy day then guess what??? Your probably gonna go to bed thinking tomorrow's gonna be a crappy day too.

Well me being the positive thinker that I am, wake up thinking what cool things will happen today. I see my stamp collection in the same way. I don't worry about the stamps I don't have and never will. I just think that it's soooo cool that there are lots of stamps out there that are within my reach.

So instead of worrying about how much my stamps are worth, I gladly fill the pages of my albums thinking about all the great places there are in the world. It's kind of like taking vacations without leaving my stamp room.

Just saying

Stamperdude, I like you too!

Dianne, thanks. I think sometimes it's nice to have the words there so when you are ready to use them you don't have to go searching everywhere and nowhere.
