Four nice shots of Reading England. Sorry, they are unused - no stamps, but the cards call for a 1d stamp to give you an idea of how old the cards are. Pictured are:

The Lion still stands in all it's glory.
It was erceted in 1886 as a monument for over 300 fallen soldiers who gave their lives in the Afghanistan campaign of 1878-1880.

And today, over 100 years on, British [and other] Soldiers are still giving their lives in that same country. I am sure this is not lost on the people of Reading.

Will we ever learn?

Londonbus1....I doubt it.
