I'm starting to divide my Central American/North American/South American collection into separate stockbooks so that I can better catalog it. What i'm looking for is a source of cheap stockbooks. My local stores which I quite frequent has Lighthouse stockbooks at $19.99 and the larger ones at $39.99. These prices are ok for one or two, but the level I'm looking for is too high for me to buy them at the store. Anyone know of an online store that they use that carries various stockbooks for cheap?

Theres an ebay seller that sells black 2 sided stock sheets and if your looking for bulk it is the same shipping for 300 as it is for 100. Works out to approximatly 50 cents per sheet and I believe you can mix and match 7-6-5-4-3-2-1row sheets. I'm probably going to grab 300 myself since a pack of 5 usually runs about $7 or more.

Hi Katchem_ash,

I just realized that the link I gave you doesn't point to the stockbooks. Use the link and when the page opens, put "stockbooks" in the search box for.

I cannot comment on the Paragon quality but looking at them they seem to be about the same price as the Lighthouse ones at Amos. The difference probably is a lot cheaper shipping charge.

No personal experience with Wessex/Paragon Stockbooks but they appear identical to the models offered by Lighthouse - very likely they're re-branded for marketing in the UK (compare "New Deluxe Wessex A4" and Lighthouse "A4 Stock Book LUXUS" which appear identical or Lighthouse model L4 and Wessex model Paragon.

Be careful when buying the stock sheets. I thought they were all basically the same.
The Hagner brand opens ALL the way across the row - a flap. The other brand I bought, I can't remember the name, is closed at both ends.

I got a Lindner 60 page for 43 dollars on line and considered it a good buy. I just don't know about the quality of others out there and didn't want to take a chance. I hope this thread will lead me to some cheaper alternatives without sacrificing quality. I really don't need the black background, but I want good binding and durability.
EDIT: shipping was free

This is where I get my stock books. I am VERY pleased with them. They have super fast shipping and the cheapest prices with shipping I have found anywhere.

I would definitely take a look before you buy anywhere else.

Seller mit_63 on ebay has 64 page lighthouse stockbooks with clear plastic strips for $37.30 including shipping.

Full disclosure: this is the only guy I buy my Vario pages and binders from. I just snagged a very nice 32 page stockbook from him along with a bunch of Vario plus pages and because I paid too much in shipping he also sent me a black 32 page Vario F Binder w/ slipcase and page protectors for free! How many sellers on ebay would do something like that for you? And always send your order out next day? Highly recommend.
