I just acquired this stamp on cover with a red BOSTON Ms. CDS (32mm)dated SEP/28/1859. The reverse contains a black BOSTON MASS. double line CDS (24mm) dated SEP/28.

A pencil marking on the cover identified the stamp as a Type V (Scott 24) and I believe that to be correct but would like corroboration from those of you who are well-versed with this issue.

Thanks, in advance!

Steve
