Interesting Comment On Ebay

Since the dollar is up my 2 cents Canadian is at par . Have to say Glen is a very knowledgeable stamp DEALER and has likely earned the right over the years with much time and knowledge but it is time and knowledge learned based on a profit realizing system. If you read some of the post that have lead to forgers being stopped be it the UK team , or recent Canadian trio the problem I have is the reference to anyone who may have been scammed as an ebay bunny or you would have to be blind not to see , or if you fell for it you deserved to be ripped off. Yes 5000 members but I'll bet at least 1000 would have easily been fooled by any of the situations and would not dare speak up and ask for honest help only to be ridiculed . That blasting of people who are trying to learn and educate themselves in this hobby is not good for anyone. I still look at Canadian coils and after reading alot could easily be fooled even looking at pictures side by side . All seems to lead to the same do not use ebay and buy from me . Of course no one dares stand up and say anything for fear of being banned or public scrutiny but hey to each there own. Instead of a full blown education thread on the differences to watch out for it becomes a don't ebay because this is what you get and deserve theme. If I buy a used car off the side of the road the last thing I want is to bring it to a dealership to have them call me dumb A&& and I deserved to get ripped off cause I didn't buy it from them. Maybe Its my passive humble background that just makes me uncomfortable when the underdog gets beat . Serious reality is probably half the stock at these dealers were purchased from ebay themselves as you know they would not turn down many of the deals we see daily.
Bottom line use your own discretion do as you please there's still a few free countries left!!

He sends a message like he is out to help the little guy buying or selling on ebay. But he really is not. He could care less for either one.
His only motivation (in my opinion) is to driver traffic to his own site. What a great way to do that! Write emails and statements about how everyone else can't be trusted, but, please buy from me, I can be trusted, I am a millionaire, I am a expert, I am the best there is...

Whether it is true or not is unimportant, when someone constantly tells you how great they are, it gets tiresome.

He has insulted every person who ever got burned on ebay, but he feels he is so far above everyone else, he doesn't see it. I have read enough of his posts to see that he thinks he is God's gift to stamp collectors..

Some people become followers of him because he acts like he cares and is so public about everything he does. He had very little to do with shutting down ebay cartels, it's everyone else who complained that did it. He means nothing to ebay. ebay listens to the buyers not sellers who don't use ebay.

He strikes me as a sheep in wolfs clothing. That's the best I can describe it.

Glen's forum has reported and taken down more suspicious sellers than probably any other forum. He even has a "Should I buy it thread" for the little guy so that people with more knowledge can help the fledgling collector from making costly mistakes. He is very passionate about the industry as it is his career, watching some of the things that happen on the on-line auction sites would make my blood boil too.

I'm a former member of that forum. I was a Moderator with over 6,000 posts. I haven't visited for over a year. Nuff said.

Sorry to hear that you don't go there anymore. I haven't had any issues there as everyone has been very helpful.

The members are great. The person in question can be a rude bully, to which I take exception. I saw newbies flayed alive by him and I couldn't stand it.
