One of the things I find most puzzling about ebay is the way that a lot of bidders seem to 'fight' for position days before the auction ends. I find that sort of behaviour pretty illogical and open to shill bidding, which does probably occur on some of the items.

I like to figure out what I can afford or what I want to spend on each item, taking into consideration the highly variable postage costs, and then given Gixen the job of the final bid. In that way win or lose I won't feel so bad about it.

We were disappointed but had a laugh about this latest posted comment, in another place, here down under.

My experience with e/bay is the majority are genuine and obliging. Like with anything, the very few that may not conform don't last long.

I agree entirely, I have had very little problems with ebay, most people on there are not too different from you or me: just normal everyday people.

Sure you get the rogues, but you get those everywhere. If we had to scrap every system that has dishonesty in it we would have no politicians, police, shops, stamp sellers, stamp buyers, teachers, students...well no one!

The case in point is the site you have alluded to, sure it has discovered a few dodgy dealers on ebay, but when you compare that miniscule number to the total number of sellers on ebay it actually proves that it's a good place to buy and sell.

If one goes around looking for the negative they will never be disappointed, but how sad they must be.
