Let's see them, although I've been collecting some of the officials, here is my first of these.

US Newspaper 1¢ Proof

detail in the scan is incredible

I would like to learn, how you know it is a proof.
Is there a size difference? Artist's Proofs get numbered and dated. Same here?

For 1, the US Newspaper Stamps were never produced without Perforations, I believe they were all Perf. 12. Also They may use different ink colors to find out what works best and they use card stock paper.

and Agricultural proofs?

Rod, Alexander Hamilton is on the 30c and Henry Clay is on the 12c.

My most humble apologies as I often forget about the worldwide presence here. The 30¢ Navy proof is Alexander Hamilton, and the 12¢ Agriculture is depicting Henry Clay.

Alexander Hamilton was the first United States Secretary of the Treasury and an aide to George Washington. he was one of America's first constitutional lawyers, and wrote 51 of the 85 Federalist Papers, a primary source for Constitutional interpretation.

Henry Clay, was a US Senator and was called "The great compromiser" He was selected as one of our 5 greatest Senators along with Daniel Webster, John Calhoun, Robert Taft and Robert La Follette. Abraham Lincoln referred to him as "My ideal of a great man"
