I actually inherited a very nicely kept stamp collection and been hooked so I thought I'd introduce myself! My name is Jeff but you (my friends) may call me Jay. I started collecting coins with my Grand Father and I guess that's why I got this stamp collection in his will. I have never had any formal introduction into philately so I ask your patients and tutelage in the hobby. Thank you for having me. -Jay

Wowzers!
Thank you all what a warm reception! Truth be told I need to get a proper stamp album because I got them in an old photo album they came in and I KNOW that will eventually ruin the "raw" ones. any suggestions?
Also, I'm actually looking at the moment for the remaining Colombian exposition stamps. I have most just need the last 2! Anyone here point me in the right direction?

jay there are many good albums, you have to decide worldwide, or you S and how much you are willing to spend, $40ish to $2400ish. If you can find a stamp club nearby, they would be a great help to you as a resource. You are about an hour from Bellafonte, PA which is headquarters for the American Philatelic Society. They would be a HUGE HUGE HUGE help to you. Did I mention they would be a huge help. Find a day, call ahead and go there. Plan to spend several hours. www.stamps.org

I'll spend a grand+ if necessary. I'm not a rich man monetarily but I got "the itch" lol and a very supportive wife and interested little girl. I'm in good company. I knew of that place but never been there YET but you can bet I will make the trip. Thank you again.
