Hi to all

Can some-one enlighten me on the correct way to use a perforation guide?

An illustration would be good.

My best way of explaining what I am doing is this.

I measure the from mid point to mid point of the rises of the perforation, and not the actual dip (ie the hole as I would call it)
of the perforation. Am I measuring it correctly. I tried this with stamps of known perforations such as Scott 134 which has a perforation of 12 and it seems to work that way.
However I am not sure.

All replies appreciated.

Nice Vid Russ.

I still use that exact same perf guage. I know some folks prefer the more precise multi- clear plastic whatever-you-call-it guage. But that little black aluminum one works for me.

But I can't say I approve of the way he handles the stamp with his big oily thumb
