Hello! I'm new here. I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether this stamp is real or fake. It supposedly is a Scott #3LB2, however it is different than others I see posted on the internet. The first picture is the one in hand, the 2nd and 3rd pictures are taken off the internet. The one I have is different in that it is on rose colored paper, has a line around the whole design, and has some slightly different elements. It also seems cruder. Is it fake, real but misidentified, or what???

Welcome to Stamp Community Forum, ShrinkMJ!

Unfortunately, your stamp is a definite fake. Quick test is to see that the "." in "PAID." should be squarish instead of round.

There are numerous other tests, but the square period is an easy one that applies to many different cases.

The 3LB2 does not have a frame line.I would put my money on a crude fake.
