so two days of almost non-stop page building and things are moving along.. still can not get them into photobucket for some reason and I can not figure out the other way soem one told me about a screen shot or some such thing.... LOL ok so I am not a tech guru (i hope I never made that claim) but any way they are looking good and I have also gotten in a few more packets over the last 2 days... Ash my kids went wild for those stamps LOL... and spanishmoss.... your young men picked very very well. the girls loved them ... they really liked the way the stamps were sent and I much admit I was a bit embarrassed on how yours went out but it was done by the 6 year old so I guess its ok LOL.... thank you both so very much....

While this may not fall within your sphere of collecting interests right now, I thought I'd bring to your attention this upcoming pictorial cancellation announced in the most recent issue of the Postal Bulletin.

It maybe interesting to get this special cancellation given the local ties to your area of the country:

You may want to check with your local post office as to how they are operating this event. In theory, you could do it both ways (whichever you prefer). The "official" instructions for obtaining these pictorial cancellations is as follows:

You can never underestimate what kids will collect. I got my daughter a paperback world album and a paperback US album and she really enjoys "doing stamps" while i'm sorting my Turkish stuff. Enjoy those days together because they grow up too fast! Now, she's 14 and into boys and mobile phones!

i could not agree more.... I am glad I found this when I did as we have 3 kids (one out on her own now) and I really wish we had started this family set of projects together years ago... a missed opportunity is not one yo can get back I am afraid to say .... but the younger ones are loving it and the time working on all the various projects together....

A very attractive album page!

One minor point, though, is that you should refer to the catalog number as "Scott" (not "Scotts").

Also, as I was reading last night here:

http://mcgees.org/free-us-stamp-album-pages/

you need to be careful about quoting Scott numbers.

BTW the blogg above is incredibly interesting, Mr. McGee is a SFC member, but, sorry to say, I don't recall his 'nom de plume'

old age...oh well.

yes I have read that but I would argue that I am noting the book and ts for my personal use .. I am not attempting to sell trade or make any other gains off there material.... but hey I could take those out any way and it still would look hot!
