I don't know if anyone has ever suggested this before but, I think this forum has enough members that have extra goodies that other member could use. I know I do. I suggest we have a spot where we can put up pics of stamps we have to sell. Kind of like a yard sale. List them and leave them. The members look through and see if there is anything they need and if they find something they email the member for the sale. No discussions under each listing just info about the stamp (price and condition). Then when the stamp is sold the listing is deleted. They could be listed under different types (topical, World, U.S. etc.)

You could also make money for the forum this way. Like a minimal listing fee for each. Help the forum and find stamps you need?....Sounds good to me.

Any thoughts?

This entered my mind today when I needed some stamps and I was responded to very quickly. Meaning his stamps were there all ready to go. They just needed a home.

there are already buy/sell/trade forums here, where you can list the stuff you have to sell, or post requests for stuff you want to buy. go to the main forum page and scroll down.

I know.....I'm talking about something a little more permanent. Things in the section now get kind of lost after a little while. If new people join they won't begin to be able to find older stuff listed. If we had a more permanent it would always be there. Plus I have noticed that when you list something sometimes it gets taken over by discussion rather than the actual sale.
