About To Get Hooked...

Well guys, on a previous post I was seriously considering to sell all the stamps on the collection, but you know what? having spent the weekend identifying, cataloging and learning (at very slow pace) but learning nevertheless ;), I'm about to keep them, must admit that is very addicting. When I see people starting from almost zero and the time dedicated to have what I already have, selling is just not worth it.

Bob, that happens a lot. Many people start to research a collection to sell and end up addicted to collecting. The true value of most collections is not measured in monetary value but in the pleasure derived from collecting.

Bob, stamp collecting is a hobby that keeps on giving pleasure and contentment. I haven't sold any of my duplicates or countries that I don't presently collect because I enjoy periodically viewing them and sometimes researching the history of the stamp or event portrayed on it.

And when you get hooked or harpooned..you will go DEEPER and DEEPER..inexpensive items will become boring as your taste buds improve..you will buy items that will eventually probably mean something only to yourself and someone else might take to the dumpster !!

Do not sell ! We will die with our albums and catalogs open !!
