First time poster here. I'm not really a collector but figured somebody here could answer my question.

Where can I get recent short-run stamps from USPS if they're no longer available online? I'm looking for the $0.90 Hagatna Bay stamps released in 2007. My business mails lots of 6-ounce large envelopes. For years we've used a combination of two stamps to get the 6-ounce rate. With the new rates, the $0.98 stamp (currently available) and $0.90 stamps would add up perfectly to the 6-ounce $1.88 rate.

But that's the problem, I can't find the $0.90 stamp anywhere. My local post office never had them to begin with. And they're not available on the USPS website anymore.

Any suggestions?

You might try one of the larger stamp dealers at http://linns.com/ particularly those who specialize in whole sheets of US. Stamps.

Lacking that particular stamp, the next best alternative might be to use the $1 Wisdom stamp and two 44¢ stamps.

It may be that you'll have to consider using three stamps on your parcels to make up the necessary rate, since the $0.90 stamps are no longer available from the USPS. One example would be to use a $1 stamp + 84-cent stamp + 4-cent stamp for the rate (all of which are readily available).

Or forget the $1 stamps and buy 84-cent stamps and the new 20-cent stamps. Two (2) 84-cent stamps + one 20-cent stamp also would make up the $1.88 rate.

Of course, Smauggie's solution also works with a $1 stamp and two (2) Forever stamps.
